Every day here, our students weigh learning against holiness, ambition against service — and our staff walk with them through it. Nearly a century after the first mission classroom opened on this ridge, that work continues in the same spirit.

A living, daily faith — Worship, Bible class, and a campus church anchor each day. Students are known here as “the school of the prophets” — a name earned through generations of baptisms and outreach.

BOARDING & STUDENT LIFE

Campus life above the clouds.

At 1,750 metres, mornings on the Kabiufa campus open in mist. Boarding students share dormitory life, work duties, sport, and Pathfinders alongside their studies — a routine largely unchanged since the school’s founding decades. The campus church, seating around 600, regularly overflows for major gatherings — a sign of the spiritual energy that has drawn General Conference leaders to visit and preach here.

1930s

Mission classrooms begin

Teachers Moses and Masibau, from Mussau Island, hold the earliest classes with little equipment.

1954

Coral Sea Union Training School

Renamed under Kenneth Gray and a staff of eight.

1991

First national principal

Samson Kuku becomes the first Papua New Guinean to lead the school.

1999

Kabiufa Adventist Secondary School

The school adopts its current name.

2024

1,127 students, and growing

A new prayer room is dedicated in the library, and over 160 students are baptised in a single year.
